Silken Minarets is inspired by Mia's Persian heritage and the intricate designs of Islamic architecture. She has taken inspiration from the traditional beauty of this ancient art form with the rise of modern technologies to create a unique and innovative line of textiles.
This collection is based on the idea of rural romanticism. Mia wanted the designs to feel very soft and feminine but reflect a camo texture from afar.

This collection was inspired by beetles. As a child Mia was fascinated by them and found them so beautiful. In this collection she highlights their beauty and detail.
Mia based this collection on her time living in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. She would spend her weekends hiking and exploring the incredible flora that the island had to offer.

When Mia's grandfather was 17, he immigrated to America from Iran. While he has been in the US for almost 50 years, he always taught her family about their culture and where he came from. In this collection she highlights Persian iconography and honors where her family came from.
This collection was inspired by the African textiles and masks that Mia's father would collect for her brother and her on business trips. These textiles sparked her interest in textile design so she created this collection to pay homage to them.

In this ongoing project Mia explores growing up while remaining true to where she came from. This features motifs from California (where she grew up), Europe, and Iran (where her ancestors are from).
